Kaavalan

Vijay and Asin will team up again after Pokkiri and Sivakasi in Bodyguard. Malayalam film Bodyguard had Dileep and Nayantara in the lead. Siddique will direct the Tamil version which will be Vijay's 51st film.

This remake was first titled Kavalkkaran and later retitled as Kaaval Kaadhal.

Sivaraju Venkatraju of Geetha Chitra International is the producer.
