Trisha Krishnan was brought up in Chennai. She did her schooling in Church Park School, Chennai and Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. In school, Trisha was an allrounder and participated in cultural activities, sports and school band. Trisha is said to be a good ballet dancer. She is the only child to her parents and lives with her parents and grand mother in Chennai. Among her hobbies are listening to music, ballet, plays tennis, basket ball, traveling, reading and swimming.
Modelling Career
Trisha was into modelling before she entered the film industry. She participated in many beauty pagents and won the titles "Miss Salem Steel City" (1999) and "Miss Chennai" (2000). Trisha took part in Femina Miss India contest in 2001 and was awarded the title "Miss Beautiful Smile" in the contest.
Film Career
Trisha made her debut to the films in a small role in the film Jodi. But her first full-fledged film was Priyadarshan's 'Leysa Leysa' opposite to Madhavan. She acted in many films thereafter. But her beginning of the film career was marked with a number of flops like Manasellam,and Alai. Trisha won critical acclaim in the film Mounam Pesiyadhe opposite Surya. She rose to fame with her roles in 'Saamy' and 'Ghilli', opposite Vikram and Vijay respectively.
Trisha's Telugu movie 'Varsham' turned her into an overnight sensation and the film was a big hit of the year 2004. She acted in many famous Director's films and opposite many leading heroes of Tamil and Telugu film industry. Trisha is the first choice of film makers in these industries.
