Thangalaan, also known as Thangalan, is an upcoming Tamil historical drama film directed by Pa Ranjith and starring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. The movie also features Malavika Mohan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Harikrishnan, and others in supporting roles. The film’s soundtrack and background score are composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography is handled by Kishor Kumar and the editing is done by Selva Rk. The film is based on real-life incidents that occurred in the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF).
Thangalaan is produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja under the banners of Neelam Productions and Studio Green. The film is set to release in theaters in April 2023 and has been shot in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages. The first trailer for the film was released on October 23, 2022, and Vikram’s rough and rustic look in the title announcement video has increased the anticipation for the movie’s release.
