Aaru Maname - One more ungraded film
Producer: K.S. Rajan
Direction: Sudeesh Shankar
Star-casts: Rajesh, Nichole, Karthika, Rajesh, Ponvannan, Ganja Karuppu and others.
Music: Srikanth Deva
It really makes us guess through the weird things happening around in Kollywood right now. Merely, the filmmakers are coming up with already beaten busy stories of early 80s. In the recent times, âVedigundu Murugesanâ and âMalayanâ have been the best illustrations out for it. Nonetheless, hereâs another one joining the list âAaru Manameâ. The problem with the film is that filmmakerâs amateur tactics of handling the subtle script with a flimsy screenplay.
One would go through the painstaking thoughts about what does Director Sudeesh Shankar actually trying to convey.
No issues if youâre coming up with a story of âCrow and Foxâ, but you must narrate it as a big deal.
The film opens with Vaithi (Deepak), an auto driver on the run of saving his elder brother (Sriman). In fraction of moments; we are thrown into a flashback of Vaithi being an unloved son of his dad (Rajesh). Vaithi and Ananthi (Nicole) fall in love with each other and sheâs the younger sister of goon (Ponvannan). With some clashes bounded between Vaithiâs brother and the rowdies, the situation turns to be worst when heâs killed. His widowed wife has no solace and his parents are despaired. Meanwhile, Vaithi is appalled on the entry of a strange woman (Karthika) addressing herself as her brotherâs wife.
Now things proceed in a much clichéd wayâ¦.
Rajesh, the newcomers strides with high-potentials of dancing well and performing stunts. Itâs better if he has good directors picking him up. Nichole has to do something about shaping her physiques gorgeously if sheâs planning to compete with red-hot missies in town as well we suggest her to graduate from a perfect school of acting. Rajesh after a long time gets a meaty role, but again heâs same-patterned. Ganja Karuppu is really annoying on his part while Ponvannan has no role to perform. Karthika is the only solace to all the audiences.
Srikanth Deva like his dad lifts the musical scores from various films and we canât help.
On the whole, âAaru Manameâ is a film that would make at least make it successful if âTheatre Projector operatorâ lays his hands on the reel.
Verdict: Not worth watchingâ¦
