In Aarumugam Bharath is depicting the part of a poor man who encounters a rich dame, played by Ramya Krishnan.
Bharath is the owner of a small food joint in Aarumugam. He is closely attached to his mother who went through many trials to raise him. His unproblematic life gets disrupted by his business rival, the beautiful Ramya Krishnan. She runs a big restaurant. What started as a petty clash soon elaborate into bigger troubles. How Bharath solves these troubles is told in the later part.
