Angadi Theru fame director Vasantha Balan is working on his next movie titled Aravaan. The film is produced by T Siva of Amma Creations.

Mirugam and Eeram fame Aadhi is the hero while Peranmai heroine Dhansika is the heroine. Malayalam actress Archana Kavi is the second heroine in the film.

Music for the film is done by singer Karthik. This is his debut as music director. Siddharth will handle camera.

Aravaan is a period film set in the 18th century and the story of the film focuses on the life of Tamilians in that era. The film will have all the ingredients of a commercial cinema. Aravaan means a powerful person, who possesses 32 features in him.

Aravaan is under production and is expected to reach screens in 2011.
