Oscar Winners A.R.Rahman and Rasul Pookkutty received a warm welcome on their return to India. Music Maestro A.R.Rahman landed at Chennai Airport in an Emirates Airways plane and was received by a large gathering.

A.R. Rahman won the Oscars for best original score and best song for Slumdog Millionaire.

Rasul Pookkutty who won the Oscar for the Best Sound Mixing for the film 'Slumdog Millionaire' was also given a warm welcome in Mumbai Airport. Crowds celebrated his homecoming. Resul Pookutty said that he never expected such a welcome.
