Suhasini Sneha Rajaram, shortly Sneha is a famous actress in South India. All these years she has been playing the pretty girl draped in sari. As competition for heroine pie is getting above head Sneha started experimenting, to gain loosing ground. In her new avatar she is putting away her homely look and don the khaki uniform.

She has been trying to shed girl-next-door image for quite some time by wearing modern attires and shaking legs for western beats, which failed. She went with skin show wearing light colored saris transparent in rain, which also failed so Miss Sneha is now wearing a khaki uniform and dishum dishum the bad guys in a re-make of Vijayasanthi’s old film Karthavyam (1990), which fetched National Award for the best actress for the latter. This film made Vijayashanti a lady superstar.

Sneha’s IPS Officer is totally a different character when compared to her earlier films. When Aarti Kumar decided to remake Karthavyam the name which first came to his mind was Sneha. When the director approached Sneha, she jumped into the opportunity immediately.

Sneha's look, mannerisms and costumes in Bhavani IPS are criticized as clones of Vijayashanthi. “It’s known that Sneha is no new to the industry, that she won’t imitate the former” says one of her fans.

Sneha has performed a daredevil bike chase in this film. The film is shot in and around Tirunelveli for 25 days. Scenes involving Vivek was shot in a temple in Palayamkottai. Some scenes where taken in Hyderabad.
Smile queen’s bilingual film Bhavani IPS, simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil has completed its entire shooting and is now in post production stage.

Sneha in the role of a trigger-happy cop who takes on three villains; Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sampat and Manoj K. Jayan. Also in the cast are Ilavarasu, Brahmanandam, Aryan, Manobala, Ganesh, Ponnambalam, Vivek, Raj Kapur and others.

Music for all five songs in the film is by Dhina. Cinematography is by Boopathy, Art by Manu, Editing by S Saleem and Action by Dalapati Dinesh. The screenplay and dialogue are handled by the director himself.
