Biriyani is an upcoming Tamil comedy entertainer written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. Karthi Sivakumar play the protagonist, while Hansika Motwani is the heroine. UK born beauty Mandy Takhar is also appearing in another important role.

Premji Amaren, Ramki, Neetu Chandra, Vaibhav Reddy, Sampath Raj, Nithin Sathya, Subbu Panchu, Sam Anderson and Sangeetha Gopal are also in the cast. Newly wed couple Sneha-Prasanna is also in the main cast.

K. E. Gnanavel Raja produces Biriyani movie under the banner of Studio Green. Shakthi Saravanan is the cinematographer. Praveen K. L. and N. B. Srikanth does editing. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music.

Biriyani started filming on November 5, 2012. The first scene involved Karthi and Premgi Amaren. The movie is shot in locations in Chennai and Puducherry. Karthi will have a new look for this flick.
