British scientists today unveiled a plan to develop high speed supersonic car which can cross 1690 kilometers in just one hour.

The car named Bloodhound SSC will be developed by British scientists in thee years time frame at a cost of 100 crore rupees. Today British science minister announced the project at the Science Museum in London.

It can attain a maximum speed of 1050 miles per hour or 1690 kilometers per hour. That means it takes only 12 minutes to reach Bangalore from Chennai !!

Even sound travels at a speed of 1235 km/hour. Bloodhound SSC takes just 16 seconds to reach 970km/hr speed and 40 seconds to reach 1690km/hour speed.
