While the biggies like Vijay, Vikram and Surya are taking around a year for each of their projects it’s the time for new heroes who know the tricks of the game. Films of Harikumar and Sundar. C has gained reputation of being good entertainers and they have garnered a niche of their own. Harikumar of Thoothukudi and Madurai Sambavam fame is working on his next film titled Bodinayakanur Ganesan.

The film is directed by O. Gnanam, who also has written the story, screenplay, dialogues for Bodinayakanur Ganesan. O. Gnanam had earlier worked with directors Surya Prakash and Ravi Maria.

Arundhati, who is making her debut in Veluthu Kattu, is the heroine. The film narrates the story of an angry young man Ganeshan who becomes a slave to an evil man because the faith he had for him. What happens due of this is the rest of the cinema.

Hero Harikumar said that, "The screenplay of this film will be exciting and beyond our guessing. I'm acting as Ganesan, a bad man. Arunthathi is pairing with me. For this film we are shooting Fish Festival near Madurai. We requested to postpone the Fish Festival for a month for our sake and now we have shot that recently. These scenes will be very grand. Before climax scene this will come."

Ravi Shankar, Soori and many others are acting in this film. Bala is handling the camera. John Peter has composed the music for the lyrics penned by Nandhalala and Ilaya Kamban.

Vignesh and Vishali are jointly producing a film titled Bodinayakanur Ganeshan under the banner Lakshmi Krishna Combines. The shooting of this film has commenced.
