After teaming up with Aamir Khan in the hit remake Ghajini, Tamil director Murugadoss is now working with Shah Rukh Khan which will be a soft non violent love story. Murugadoss have acquired the reputation of being a violent director with Ghajini. He will do this film after completing Kannada film Suryakanthi.

The director who felt a little out of place in Mumbai initially is currently the most sought after film maker in the success hungry north filmdom.

Murugadoss's Hindi Ghajini, which was a remake of the Tamil, is Bollywood's highest grossing movie of all time. It collected Rs.90 crores worldwide within just five days of its release and has collected about Rs.250 crores entirely. Unlike many directors he accepts that he watched Memento before writing the script of Ghajini and made enough changes according to it.

The director says he incorporated several changes in the script of Hindi remake after discussing with Aamir Khan. According to Murugadoss, Aamir Khan is a brilliant actor and director and he wants Aamir to be his consultant. Murugadoss accepts that the entire location, incidents and dialogues for the climax were re-written by Aamir and thinks the Hindi version is far better than the Tamil Ghajini due to the changes Aamir made.
The director plans to return to South Indian film industry after directing one film with Sharukh. Murugadoss is enjoying the budget and huge set ups which provide him the freedom to narrate the film in a big way.

Murugadoss a native of Kallakurichi near Chennai is a graduate from the Bharathidas University. The 37-year-old director writes his own scripts. He is interested in reading books and interacting with people which help him in writing good stories. Murugadoss has several short-story anthologies in Tamil to his credit.

Murugadoss started out as an ordinary filmmaker and commenced his directorial venture with a mass commercial flick Dheena.

Murugadoss has so far directed three Tamil films - Dheena, Ramana and Ghajini as well as Telugu movie Stalin. All his five films were big hits.

According to him, a director should have world view. His vision can not be limited when he takes up different type of films.
