New Zealand beat India by 7 wickets in the first Twenty:20 match.
Suresh Raina (61) and Harbhajan Singh (21) guided India to a fighting total of 162/8. Kiwis achieved the victory target of 163 runs with 7 balls to spare.
India's tour of NewZealand started with the Twenty 20 match held today at at Christchurch AMI Park Stadium. Cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for Dhoni and his men to break the 41 year history of not winning a series in NewZealand, be it Tests or ODIs.
India will have to worry more about the weather in New Zealand than the opponets Daniel Vettori and his team. The chilly weather and sporadic spells of rain are the main concerns in the Indian camp.
There are two wenty 20 matches which will be played today (Feb 25) and Feb 27. The tour will continue through a five match ODI series and a three match test series against NZ. The five ODIs will be played on March 3,6, 8, 11, and 14 and test matches will start on March 18, 26 and April 3.
Indian team who are in a good form after the wins against mighty Australians, England and Srilanka, will have to keep their form to win this tour as well. The current Indian team under MS Dhoni has established themselves as one of the best teams in the world.
Sachin has opted out of both the T20 matches. India still has one of the best batting line-ups with Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan. India's Twenty 20 record is also amazing with 9 victories out of the 11 played so far. They are the current Twenty 20 champions too.
