India won the fourth crucial match against England in the Bangalore D/N ODI played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in the city. In rain drenched match, Chasing India's 166 that was revised to 198 as the target based on the Duckworth Lewis rule, England could only get 178 for the loss of 8 wickets in 22 overs.
India won the series 4-0. Virendra Sehwag was selected as the 'Man of the Match'.Earlier English Captain Kevin Peterson won the toss and elected to field first. India took 168 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 22 overs.
Despite the early loss of Sachin Tendulkar for 11 runs, India's Virendra Sehwag took 69 runs which became the highest Indian Score. Yuvaraj Singh took 25 runs and becae not out along with Yusaf Pathan.
For England O.Shah scored 72 runs and Andrew Flintoff 41 runs. For India Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Munaf Patel took 2 wickets each, while Harbhajan Singh claimed 1.
