Simbudevan, who debuted as director with Imsai Arasan Irubathu Moondram Pulikesi is preparing the movie Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam. The movie stars Lawrence, Padmapriya, Lakshmi Rai, Sandhya, Nasar, M.S Baskar, Manorama, Mouli etc.

Sandhya who has not been getting any chances in filmdom has an important role in the movie.

According to the director, the film is a western theme with a Tamil flavor. After M.G.R period a cowboy movie was no where to be seen in Tamil cinema. Viewers are in high expectation about the film. The movie takes place in 18th century; a lot of sets have been erected in Palakkad by Art director Muthuraj, the man behind the groovy Pazhassi Raja.

The movie has cinematography by Azhagappan. Music is tuned by G.V Prakash Kumar and lyrics written by Vairamuthu. The audio was released in Chennai.
