Kambakkht Ishq â Biggest Entertainer sans logic
Banner: Eros International, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment
Production: Sajid Nadiadwala
Direction: Sabbir Khan
Star-casts: Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Aftab Shivadsani, Amrita Arora, Vindu Dara Singh and many others.
Music: Anu Malik, RDB, Salim-Sulaiman
Akshay Kumar had to get through the toughest part of his comeback period followed by his incessant hits. Alas! You neednât speak about the random flops âChandni Chowk to Chinaâ and â8x10 Tasveerâ for they were so pathetic receiving lukewarm response.
Director Sabbir Khan does a brilliant job on picking the right entertainment quotients and delivering it flamboyantly for the audiences. But one thing youâve got to register in your minds is that donât ever question about logics while watching this film. And then, for sure youâll have pretty time for next couple of hours.
To make your guesses right, the film is no way different from Kamal Haasan starrer âPammal K Sammadamâ that made great waves in box office before few years.
The film is about an impertinent stuntman in Hollywood Viraj Shergil (Akshay Kumar) who believes that âWoman is fit for only two things; Making Love and Love Making. Likewise, thereâs yet another bold character Simirita (Kareena Kapoor), Hot Model in Hollywood who stares down even the bullying guys in town and doesnât believe in Love. So, when the young and lad of farthest extremes meet on the marriage ceremony of Simiritaâs friend Kamini (Amrita Arora) with Virajâs brother Lucky (Aftab Shivadsani). Remember it! This is the marriage that both of them were opposing and never wanted it to happen.
So, here starts the most conflicts of blows and kisses between the duo and enjoy the ride of some unexpected twists of emotions and laughter.
Akshay Kumar does a magniloquent task on emoting to the comedy sequences as well emotionally bonded towards the latter half. Kareena Kapoor goes for a best attempt and doesnât suit the space as she carries on with her overactive performance. Aftab and Amrita have lived up to our expectations. Adding more to the bonanzas is the presence of Hot Superstars Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards.
Musical score by Anu Malik, Salim-Sulaiman is top-notching in parts especially the number âOm Mangalamâ has been engrossingly pictured. Stunt sequences are quite impressive and cinematography takes on for grandeur.
On the whole, Kambaqqt Ishq is a richly presented entertainer for this season. As mentioned earlier, you can watch this film if you donât care about few logics missing there.
Verdict: Fantastic film to watch
