Kandhakottai is an upcoming Tamil movie starring Nakul (Kadhalil Vizhunden fame) and Poorna in the pivotal roles. Kandha Kottai is directed by Shakthi Kadhirvel, who worked in Kanda Naal Muthal as assistant director.

Kandha Kottai is a romantic entertainer with an action back up. Nakul and Poorna will make a good screen pair and their on screen chemistry might work out well for the movie. Poorna had captured every ones attention with her performances in ‘Kodaikanal’ and ‘Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu’.

Music is scored by Dheena for this movie. Kandha Kottai was earlier produced under the banner ESK Internationals. It is heard that Kalapathy S Agoram of AGS Entertainment has acquired the rights over this film. He has acquired the rights of the Jayam Ravi – Thamanna starrer Thillalangadi too. Earlier too, Nakul’s previous film Masilamani was also produced by AGS Entertainment.

Nakul’s first film was Boys, but he shot to fame in the movie Kadhalil Vizhunden. His recent release Masilamani, opposite Sunaina was a success.

The title of the film Kandhakottai is the name of the area in which hero lives. The story is about a guy who does not want to fall in love, so he doesn’t allow his friends also to do that. But, at last, when he falls in love, things take a different turn.

Chennai 600028 and Saroja fame Sampath Raj is playing the baddie in this film. Rest of the cast includes Santhanam, Sathyan, Ponvannan, and Kadhal Dhandapani among others.

Lyrics are penned by Yugabharathy, Thamarai and Snehan. The songs of the movie are shot in exotic locations like France, Spain and Switzerland.
