Kanimozhi is the forthcoming venture of Jai, directed by Sripathi, a former associate of Venkat Prabhu. Kanimozhi is produced by T Siva. Shazahn Padamsee is the leading lady.

Satheesh Chakravarthy scores the music, while Chidambaram will crank the camera. The film which started shooting in April has completed its shooting in 60 days. The entire shoot of the film was done in and around Chennai.

The audio of the film was released by CM Kalaigner Karunanidhi in July and received by actor Vijay.

Kanimozhi is a female oriented story. The title of the movie is after MP Kanimozhi's name, daughter of the CM. There is no character by the name Kanimozhi in the movie. But as the story progresses, everyone will understand why the film is named Kanimozhi.

Vijay Vasanth and Michael Thangadurai.are doing important roles in the film. The film is expected to reach theatres in November.
