The film Kattradhu Kalavu is directed by Balaji who has earlier made many successful commercials. Ad film maker’s foray into feature film has not given many commercial successes. Even though they maintain high alert for each shots they loose the big picture and couldn’t maintain the interest of audience for long. Let’s hope Balaji will demolish the existing belief and come out with a very successful entertainer.

Krishna is the hero in Katradhu Kalavu. He entered Kollywood with Alibaba which is produced by his father Pattiyal Sekar, and won much appreciation.

Krishna is an actor who got his father and brother in Kollywood as Producer and Director. Jeyam Ravi, Dhanush and Vishal who also got powerful family members have made it big in industry. Krishna’s brother is director Vishnuvardhan.

The dame introduced in Chennai 600028, Vijayalakshmi, got appreciated in Kollywood for her performances in Chennai 600028 and Anjaathey. Vijayalakshmi has remained the traditional in all her movies. But with this flick Katradhu Kalavu with Krishna, she has raised portraying her glamour a few inches up!

She plays an air hostess and hence the western outfits were necessary. According to reports she is maintaining a glamour role and separates her selves from being sleazy or vulgar.

She does not want to get bound with the veritable glam doll image. Her next project after Katradhu Kalavu is Adhe Neram Adhe Idam with Jai.

While filming Katradhu Kalavu in Rameshwaram. Dheena who is acting as villain got injured. His left shoulder rib got broke and was hospitalized.

Paul Jacob scores music. Kumaravel has crafted the screenplay and Rooban wrote dialogues. Kiran is Art director while Kalyan choreographs the songs.

Nirav Shah cranks the camera while Kasi Viswanathan handles editing. Super Subburayan choreographs stunts for the film.
