Banner: Mayajaal Entertainment
Direction: Anita Udeep
Star-casts: Sanjeev, Riya Poongodi, Thalaivasal Vijay, Adhitya and many others.
Music: Bobo Sashi
With previous week not being so fair enough for film buffs, it's quite moderately contrastive here. Kulir 100 Degree - what an interesting title that's so stark. Anita Udeep being worked on so many international projects delivers her first directorial feature. Finest part is that the filmâs duration is just couple of hours and she doesnât drag you long for this simple story.
Nothing exceptional we find here...
Surya (Sanjeev), a youngster on his 11th STD is much involved in rowdyism, although he's an intellectual guy in his class. His mom Parvathi has been staying away from her husband (Adhitya) who's again a damn bully. Despites this alienation, Surya maintains a cordial relationship with his dad. Fearing that his future may get spoilt, Surya is sent to Lake View Boarding School in Ooty where things are so new to him. Rest of the film is all about how life moves on there with first love, a lovable friendship, troublesome enmityâ¦
Newcomer Sanjeev goes for a matured performance and it's a good start. He's good on emoting perfectly as well dance. Model Riya is cool as a Barbie girl but doesnât suit the onscreen. The fat Babloo adds to the humor quotients as well adds substance to the show.
Anita Udeep has done a brilliant job on coloring the visuals. Cinematography by L.K. Vijay scores 10/10 while Lenin's editing is commendable.
On the other end, Anita Udeep could've have added more interesting parts in this film. Although, there is romance, humor and action, It's not presented in adequate proportions and slightly scatters away audiences' attention.
As a whole, 'Kulir 100 Degree' is a flick you can watch once if you've 0 degrees of expectations...
Verdict: Watch it once.
