Prabhu Solomon directs the forthcoming Tamil movie Kumki starring Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon in the leading roles. Story and screenplay are handled by the director himself.

N. Lingusamy and N.Subhash Chandra Bose jointly produce the movie under the banner Thirupathi Brothers. D Immam handles the music, while cinematography is by Sukumar.

Prabhu Solomon's last film Mynaa was recognised widely. This is the debut film of Vikram Prabhu, son of popular Tamil actor Prabhu and grandson of the late legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan.

Vikram play the role of a mahout of Kumki Elephants. The trained elephants which sends the wild elephants that venture out of the forests are called Kumki Elephants.

The audio of Kumk was released with wide publicity in the presence Kamalhaasan, Rajnikant and Suriya. Thambi Ramaiah and Asvin Raja also play pivotal roles in this movie.
