Mankatha is the forthcoming Tamil movie starring Ajith Kumar, Nagarjuna and Trisha Krishnan in the leading roles. The film is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. Mankatha is a suspense thriller full of drama, action and adventure.

Mankatha is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri and Vivek Rathnavelu, under the banner Cloud Nine Movies. Mangaatha has cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan. Music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The film has a mega star cast including Ajith Kumar, Nagarjuna, Trisha Krishnan, Ganesh Venkatraman, Vaibhav Reddy, Mahat Raghavendra, and Premji Amaren.

K.L. Praveen and N.B. Srikanth will edit the movie. Mankatha is Ajith Kumar's 50th film. Telugu superstar Nagarjuna will play a prominent role along with Ajith Kumar, while Trisha Krishnan will play the heroine. This will be Trisha’s third movie opposite Ajith Kumar.

Mankatha is a game of probabilities. There will be a lot of twists and turns in this movie. Mankatha is a live action realistic film.

Mankatha was officially commenced on 2 August 2010 with the formal launch and a pooja at the AVM Studios, Chennai. The film shooting is under progress now and will hit screens in summer 2011.

Mankatha is a much expected movie for Ajith fans as it is Thala's 50th film and also his film after a gap. Multi star films are a rarity in Kollywood, so this film is expected to be a big one.
