Masilamani is the forthcoming Tamil movie starring Nakul and Sunaina in the lead roles. This is a big budget film produced by Kalapathi S. Aghoram under the banner, A G S Entertainment. Kalapathi S. Aghoram had earlier produced hit films like Jeevan starrer Naan Avan Illai and Jayam Ravi starrer Santhosh Subrahmaniyam. Sun Pictures, the film distribution arm of Kalanidhi Maran’s media empire has acquired the rights of Maasilamani.

The hit pair Nakul and Sunaina of Kadhalil Vizhundhen is pairing once again in Masilamani. Others in the cast are Pawan, Karunas, Santhanam, M S Bhaskar, Raj Kapoor, Santhan Bharathi, Delhi Ganesh, Meera Krishna, Manobala, Tharani and Varsha.

R N R Manohar is directing this film apart from writing the story, screenplay and dialogues. He is an experienced hand in the film industry with a good track record as Assistant director to big directors like K S. Ravi Kumar and Malayalam director I.V.Sasi. He has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film Punnagai Poove. He has also written dialogues for Vijayakanth starrer Thennavan, Murali starrer Kannuku Kannaka and Parthiban starrer Pudumai Pithan.

Masilamani is a cute love story that would appeal to youngsters. The hero lives in a slum. Sunaina plays the role of a Bharathanatyam dancer from Kalakshetra in this movie Masilamani. The hero loves this dancer and tries to win her heart. This forms the base of the story. Although we have seen movies like this earlier, the director promises that Masilamani will be a different sort of a romantic movie, which will become a fore runner to many romantic films in the future.

Eventhough Masilamani is a romantic love story, there will be much to laugh in this film, says Nakul, the hero of the film. The movie is expected to be well received by youngstera as well as the family audience.

The song with the lines Odi Odi Vilayada sung by Mukesh and Suvi and composed by D Iman is being shot in an enormous set at AVM Studios.
