Naan Aval Adhu previously titled Leelai is an upcoming Tamil film starring Madhavan, Sada and Shamitha Shetty in the lead roles.

‘Naan Aval Adhu’ is a remake of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Darling’. Naan Aval Adhu was initially produced by noted director and producer Ram Gopal Varma, but he sold the film before release to Storm Pictures as he and Madhavan had creative differences.

Several heroines were rumored to have been signed up for this prestigious film offer. But finally Sada and Shamitha Shetty were roped in to do the lead roles.

The story of Naan Aval Adhu goes on like this. Aditya works for a popular advertising company and is married to the traditional beauty, Ashwini. A blissfully happy life with their kid, Aditya’s life has turned a full circle. But their hunky dory existence is about to change. When it was time for Aditya’s promotion as General Manager, he gets introduced to Geetha, company’s new MD.

It is later known that Geetha and Aditya were college sweet hearts, and Geetha chose her career ahead of the man she loved. When they meet again, Geetha renews her attraction for Aditya, and start flirting with him.

Aditya tries to get away from her and accidentally kill Geetha following a bitter argument. He tries to seek refuge in his house, but Geetha comes back to him as a ghost. The story continues with several incidents there after.

After many delays due to financial constraints and actor Madhavan’s differences with the producer, the film is finally going to hit theatres on August 14th, 2009.
