Naanayam Produced by S P B Charan is a suspense thriller based on a bank robbery. Sakthi K Rajan, a former associate of Mysskin is the director.

Sibiraj, after vain attempts as hero, ventures to do the role of a villain. Prasanna plays the lead alongside Ramya Raj, who has appeared in the films Sandai and Thee. Debutante Yasmin Khan and Charan's father, singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam are acting in pivotal roles.

Naanayam is a sequence of events that take place before and after a huge bank robbery in Chennai. Prasanna is an ambitious man, who is keen on becoming a successful club owner and Sibiraj is his rival. Prasanna has under gone an image make over with trendy costumes with help from designer Vasuki Bhaskar.

Actor Simbu has sung Thanga Kadhava thora da... vanga kadala siri da... song. Silambarasan has already sung a number for Arya starrer Madrasapattinam and there rumors are that he would be singing the tittle track for Ajith's Asal.
