The bi-lingual movie Neram simultaneously made in Tamil and Malayalam, is written and directed by Alphons Putharen, who is making debut as a director. Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim are in the leading roles in both the versions. Simhaa plays another important role.

Nassar, Simhaa, Thambi Ramaiah, John Vijay, Charle, Ananth Nag, Shabareesh Varma, Crane Manohar, Deepak Nathan are also in the cast in the Tamil version.

Neram is produced by Coral Viswanathan under the banner Winner Bulls Films and will be released by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies in Tamil. Anand C. Chandran is the cinematographer. Editing is done by the director Alphonse himself. Music is composed by Rajesh Murugesan.

Neram is a comedy thriller film, set in the backdrops of Chennai. Both versions were shot simultaneously across Tamilnadu.

Neram will be released on May 17, 2013 in Tamil.
