Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal is the title given to the Tamil version of the upcoming Santhosh Sivan movie. The film is released in three languages Malayalam, Tamil and English. The Malayalam version is titled as Urumi, while the English version is titled as Vasco Da Gama.

Prithviraj dons the leading role in this flick which has a huge star cast. The film is a big budget film directed by Santhosh Sivan. He handles the cinematography too.

Genelia D'Souza, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, Prabhudeva, Arya and Tabu plays other important roles. Nithya Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar, Amole Gupte and Chandan Roy Sanyal also acts in the film.

Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal is a period film set in the year 1498. The plot of the film revolves around the landing of Vasco Da Gama at Kappad beach in Kerala and the local people’s bid to assassinate him.

Deepak Dev composes the music for 15aam Nootraandu Uraivaal.

Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan co-produce this flick, under the banner August Cinema. The film is expected to reach theatres by March end.
