Superstar Rajnikanth's forthcoming movie Kochadaiyaan's first teaser will reach fans on September 9th, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Kochadaiyaan is a Tamil period drama, directed by his younger daughter Soundarya Ashwin.

Kochadaiyaan has Rajnikant in a double role. Sarath Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Shobhana, Jackie Shroff, Aadi Pinisetty, Rukmini Vijayakumar, and Nassar are also in the cast. Shobhana is paired opposite the older Rajnikanth, while Deepika Padukone will play the love interest of the younger Rajnikanth in the film.

Kochadaiyaan will be dubbed into Telugu, Malayalam and English. In Telugu, the film will be titled as 'Vikrama Simha'. The film will be also released in Hindi and Japanese.

The shooting of the film was finished and the post production work is going on now. Kochadaiyan is expected to be released during Diwali 2013.
