Shahrukh Khan undergoes surgery, to be back after a break

Bollywood hero Shahrukh Khan underwent a shoulder surgery on Monday (Feb 16) at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital under the guidance of the orthopaedic surgeon
, Sanjay Desai. The actor had to undergo the arthroscopic surgery for a nagging pain in left shoulder.

Sources close to the actor said that the surgery went on fine, and Mr.Khan will be discharged from hospital after a few days. Close friends of Shahrukh were with him and family in the hospital.

Shahrukh Khan, who was suffering from shoulder injury and pain for a long time now, couldn't undergo the surgery till now due to his film committments. His condition aggrevated in December last year. Ignoring the pain he flew to Los Angeles for Karan Johar's "My Name Is Khan".

"Surgeries are not new to me" said the actor who underwent a surgery in London for back pain in 2003. "I work a lot and get injured every now and then so I’m not bogged down. In fact, I’m pretty fine."

Shahrukh had planned to fly to London for the surgery, but he chose to get it done in Mumbai itself.
