Sivappu Mazhai is the first Tamil movie that was completed in 12days. V Krishnamurthy is the director, while Deva handles music for this flick.

The film has completed shooting and post production work, but the Indian censor board has refused to give it a certificate due to its objectionable content relating to Sri Lankan Tamil issue. The film has been referred to the revising committee.

Suresh Joachim is a Srilankan who is settled in Canada. Sivappu Mazhai has Suresh Joachim, Meera Jasmine and Vivek in the lead roles.

The movie is planned to be released in 23 countries with sub titles in 30 languages.

The actress Meera jasmine, who has won many awards for her performances, is the heroine in this movie. Her recent flop with Vijayakanth hasn’t affected her; Meera Jasmine is also be working for another movie whose script is penned by kalaignar.
