Kick is one of Tollywood’s recent films which have Ravi Teja and Ileana in the lead. Shaam also played a character. Though the film with director Surinder Reddy and producer Venkat was only an average hit, Raja is convinced that the film will break records in Tamil. The movie has lot of good comedy which suits M. Ravi's Peranmai hasn’t materialized and his project with director Ameer, Kannabiraan is yet to begin.
Raja was the director of Ravi’s debut film Jayam, which was a bumper hit. The duo combined to make three other super hits Something Something Unakkum Enakkum, M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi and Santosh Subrahmanyam.

Raja will repeat Shaam in the same role he did in Kick. Formarly Madhavan was also considered. Shaam performs the role of a cop who’s on the hunt of a wild thief.
