Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai is a romantic comedy written and directed by newcomer Thiru.

Vishal is in lead role along with Neetu Chandra of Yavarum Nalam, Tanushree Dutta, former Miss India Universe, and Sarah Jane Dias, former Miss India World. It's not just these three misses; there is Sneha and Reema Sen playing pivotal cameo roles.

The film also has Prakash Raj, Santhanam, Urvasi and Mouli in supporting roles.

Vishal's previous films Sathyam and Thoranai failed to make impact in box office Unlike his other films which were action-oriented, TVP will be romantic and will do an image makeover for Vishal as the story is about a playboy Karthik, who has this habit of choosing the best from three options. It's the first time; Vishal plays role with negative shades.

Director initially planned three big heroines. But dolls expected enough screen space for them. Then film crew chose to go with lesser known faces which also enhanced the suspense element.

Filmed by Arvind Krishna, Dilip Subarayan choreographs action sequences and Suresh is debutanting as editor. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s songs have topped the charts.

The film is produced by Vikram Krishna's (Vishal's brother) GK Corporation. Sun Pictures has acquired the rights over TVP. The film will be dubbed into Telugu as Khilladi and released simultaneously. The film will hit the screens on February 5 and teasers will be aired from Pongal onwards.
