Gowtham Menon's upcoming movie Thuppariyum Anand is expected to start shooting in March 2011 after the release of Hindi version of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya. Earlier it was heard that Ajith Kumar will be playing the leading role in this movie.

But later due to the differences between the director and the actor, it is now expected that Surya will play the leading role. British Model Amy Jackson, who played the heroine of the recent flick 'Madhrasapattinam' will play the leading lady in Thuppariyum Anand too.

Thuppariyum Anand is a suspense thriller set in the background of 1930s. The hero will play the role of an investigating officer, who is investigating a series of murders in the old Chennai city, before independence.

There is no official confirmation on the star cast till now from the director.

A.R. Rahman will be scoring music for this film. Manoj Paramahamsa handles the camera, while Anthony does the editing.
