Vaalu is the forthcoming Tamil romantic comedy film, written and directed by debutante director Vijay Chander. Hansika Motwani plays the heroine, while Santhanam adds to the comedy touch of the film.

S. Thaman composes music for Vaalu. Cinematography by Shakthi, while editing done by T. S. Suresh. Vaalu is produced by S. S. Chakravarthy under the banner Nic Arts.

The movie brings together Silambarasan, Santhanam and Ganesh, the hit trio of Vaanam and Osthe.

Vaalu started shooting on June 6th, 2012. The first look teaser and photoshoot of the movie was completed in May at Taramani in Chennai.

Director Vijay Chander was the assistant to Dhinamthorum Nagaraj. He himself writes the story of Vaalu.

Hansika Motwani who plays Simbu's love interest in this film, is also sharing screen with him in his upcoming movie Vettai Mannan, which is also produced by S. S. Chakravarthy.

Vaalu is expected to be a Diwali release. Vaalu will be commercial entertainer.
