Sarath Kumar and Sneha have teamed up for the first time in the film named Vidiyal. The movie features issues taking place in the years 1946, 1976 and 2010. Vidiyal is about a guy who takes part in the fight for independence. He also has the responsibility of saving his wife from life-threatening peril. His last film in Tamil which has reference to the past was 1970 with Namitha, which hadn’t gone down well with the audience.

As in many of his films he plays the role of both the father and son. Sarath has completed shooting a song, Adhimadurai Elai.... which is sung by Chinmayi and Vijay Yesudas in Madurai.

The film is directed by KR Selvaraj, one of the office bearers of Nadigar Sangam. Music for the film is composed by Dhina. The film is produced by Giriguja Films International in association with Sarath’s newly launched production company RRR.

Apart from Sneha, Vidiyal has another heroine Sruthi who acted the glamour role in Indra Vizha. Sneha, was very happy while she said, it is her pleasure to join with one of the manly heroes of Kollywood, Sharath sir. Sneha’s film, Bhavani IPS in which she acted as police officer has attracted youth last year.

While doing a stunt scene in Kannada film Sarathi, which has Darshan in the lead, Sarath was hurt and doctors have advised him to take rest for a month.

The film has now been postponed.
