Gautham Menon whose every films characterized by protagonist who almost gets insane due to lost love is on the winning side now. His latest release Vinnaithandi Varuvaya has touched every lover's mind and has made huge profits at box office. Getting confidence Gautham is to remake this love story in Hindi.
Gautham Menon has earlier done a Hindi flick with Madhavan, Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein. VTV is produced under his home banner in Hindi. Trisha will act in this film after her failed debut Khatta Meetha opposite Akshay Kumar.
Raj Babbar's son Pratik Babbar will do the role of Chimbu in Hindi version.
The original VTV had seven songs and the new Hindi version will have eight. Two new tunes has been made for the Hindi version of VTV by the music director A R Rahman of which one will be a duet and the other a solo song for the heart broken hero.
Rahman had composed these songs much earlier before he left for Jai Ho world tour. The songs were recorded at ARR studios in Chennai and the digital works are going on. In Hindi version Trisha will play Jessie while Pratiek Babbar will be play Karthik. The Hindi audience who are usually love sick is expected to give the film a warm welcome.
