This martial arts film titled ‘19 Steps’ will feature Kamal Hassan, Japanese superstar Tadanobu Asano, and Asin Thotukmkkal who shot to fame with blockbuster Ghajini, both the Tamil and Hindi versions.

Asano plays a blood thirsty Samurai Kenji seeking to conquer the ancient Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu. Kamal plays the character role of a veteran Kalarippayattu guru (teacher) who trains Tadanobu Asano in his fight against his enemies. Asin will play a local princess, a martial arts expert who falls in love with Asano.

A good portion of 19 steps will be shot in Kerala. It will have English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Japanese versions.
