C. Joseph Vijay, otherwise, Thalapathy (earlier Ilayathalapathy) as his fans call him, Vijay is a much sought after actor in the Kollywood. Born on June 22, 1974, Vijay is one of the highest paid actors of Tamil film industry.

Vijay started his acting career as a child artist at the age of 10, in Vetri, a drama. He continued with acting in many of his father's ( S. A. Chandrasekhar) films. His first break through in the film field was in the film Poove Unakkaga in 1996. Vijay acted in more than 62 films as of 2019.
