Pooja Hegde was born and brought up in Mumbai. But her native is Udupi in Karnataka.

Pooja appeared in the Telugu movie Oka Laila Kosam. Her films Mukunda in Telugu is under production and she is chosen to act in the Hindi movie Mohenjo Daro slated for 2016.
